Anushka is an actress as well as a producer in Bollywood. She is among the most highly paid actor in Bollywood, and has been awarded for her work. Anushka Sharma was born on 1st May 1988, Ayodhya from Uttar Pradesh. Her parents were Kumar Sharma & Ashima Sharma. Her father is a colonel-retd. Anushka's mother is a housewife. Karnesh Sharma is her younger brother. Karnesh was in the Merchant Navy, and is an entrepreneur in the field of film production. Anushka has finished her education at the Army School Bangalore. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Carmel College in Bangalore. Anushka holds a master's degree in studies in economics. Anushka Sharma dreamed of becoming journalist or model, but she did not want to be an actor. Anushka, after completing her education in Mumbai was accepted into Elite Model Management. She was taught by stylist Prasad Bidapa. Anushka's debut as a fashion model came in 2017 when she walked for Wendell Rodricks at Lakme Fashion Week followed by being chosen by Rodricks to be a model at his Spring Summer 2007 collection. Anushka Sharma has been a part with a number of campaigns for brands since her Lakme Fashion Week debut. They include ads with Fiat Palio and Fiat Whisper Nathella Jewelry. Anushka Sharma, along with her modelling career, joined an acting academy and began to audition for films. Anushka Sharma was the first actress to film in 2008 with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The film was a collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan. To prepare herself for the screening test, Anushka Sharma stayed an entire day. After that, she signed up to film three times with Yash Raj Films. She portrayed a bride who was young and was married to a man of middle in age (the persona Shah Rukh Khan was portraying). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka played Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang and Vir Das in the movie Badmash Company. The movie received mixed praises. The same year Anushka Sharma was seen in the movie 'Band Baaja Baaraat' with Ranveer Singh, in which she played the role of a middle-class Punjabi girl who starts her own wedding-planning business. The film was an unexpected success and was praised by the critics. Anushka's contract for three films with Yash Raj Films was completed with Band Baaja Baaraat.
